Sandalwood (Santalum album) is a medium-sized evergreen tree with almost drooping branches, dark rough bark and mature wood which is strongly aromatic, with an oily feel and yellowish colour. Sandalwood fragrance is sweet woody & balsamic. Australian Sandalwood has a soft, woody, extremely tenacious; balsamic, sweet odour.
